(An elderly client who came to me feeling "very sick" cause of a cold with bronchitis that just did not move and did not go away for months. Already after the first session she felt better. I had 3 more follow up sessions to stabilisation. I also mixed her after the session some Bach Flower Remedies and gave her additional advise. As an accredited Psychotherapist I am able to address emotional issues during the treatment as well and in her situation there were a number of suppressed incidents and worries that contributed to the illness. Hi Edel, I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me with my anxiety over the dentist. I put up with bad pain in my tooth for over 2 weeks because just the thought of going to the dentist made me literally break out in hot sweats and I thought I was going to pass out. Last year I had a bad experience at the dentist and I had a panic attack in the chair and wasn't able to finish the procedure. I hadn't thought about that much until the 6th of Jan this year when I broke my tooth and was in agony. I tried to get into a sleep dentist but the wait for all of them was Feb or March. Way too long to put up with pain. I had done EFT about 5 years ago with quite good success and thought that possibly it might work with this 'dental phobia'. Well all I can say is that after 2 sessions with you I went to the dentist ( a feat in itself ), laid in the chair for just over 30 mins and had my tooth cut out with 2 stitches. About half way through the procedure I felt myself getting hot and just started tapping away as you suggested. It passed within a minute and I was completely calm for the rest of the visit. "I came as a sceptic-as I wanted scientific proof as to exactly how EFT & the Release technique worked. ie. What is the scientific evidence that it worked, case studies etc. I found that even though I felt rather silly tapping, it helped put things in perspective & I ended up using it quite a bit at work, which helped to calm me down. Dear Edeltraud,
It is difficult to convey well in words how I feel about the ways in which you have helped me. When I first visited you I felt helpless and pessimistic that you would be able to understand me and my personal issues. I would like to share the EFT experience with you that has truly changed my life, and how Edeltraud Grace made this possible for me:
I had a work related accident 7 months ago, in February 2008. I tried to lift a 27kg bag of Cornflour off a pallet and it slipped. When I grasped at it with my left hand, it hit my right thumb, but as I tried to grip it with the other four fingers of that hand it fell further and bent one of my fingers 60 degrees backwards.
I was subsequently diagnosed with Tendonitis, and have been using bandages for support on the wrist since then. I have suffered pain day and night since then, using painkillers to get some sleep at night. I have not been able to work and not able to do normal housework either. An MRI scan revealed that the soft tissue of both my arms were in a sack of fluid and inflamed.
After two rounds of EFT, where Edeltraud tapped on me, the pain was GONE. No pain for the first time in 7 months! I could hardly believe it. We then did some more rounds of EFT and I actually felt my blood moving for the first time in 7 months, actually felt it streaming through my fingers. My left hand had been continuously cold for a long time, yet after only a few rounds of additional tapping it began feeling warm and then started to itch. (a sign of healing). I can hardly believe this could happen and I am happy and thrilled. Edeltraud showed me how to use EFT on my own then. The pain did not re-appear again and I am on my way to a full recovery, and looking forward to starting work again soon.
